Hi, does anybody know how to plot a diagonal reference line on a scatter chart?
I'd like to create specific points based on hard coded coordinates - ie. a line to go through points (0,0), (10,50), (20,100) etc.
I can only see how to create a horizontal and/or vertical line, but this is not what I need
Any help appreciated
Best Regards
Hi Mark,
Does your line have to be a fixed line or is it some sort of correlation etc?
Adam
Hi Adam,
I am specifically looking at creating a fixed line.
I have done a 'fix' using a diagonal line as a background, but would like to actually plot it, with the ability to possibly move the line with amended coordinates.
I'd like the reference line to stay on the graph if the plotted values were zoomed/filtered etc.
Many thanks for your consideration ...
Hi Mark,
Hmmmm not that easy then I am afraid, i haven't ever come across a way of doing it having asked the question myself before.
Obviously for correlation you just set the second expression to linear regression
for a diagonal line cutting the chart in half you can copy expression 1 to expression 4 and set that as a linear
I might have a play though as I am convinced that somehow it must be possible!
