Hi, If a user downloads the Desktop of Qlikview and then they open they open Document that is on Access Point via "Open In Server" can they actually make and save changes to this?? Is there any way this can be prevented from happening? As worried users could do something drastic. Thanks
Don't give them Named CAL. Doc CAL users can't do this. Otherwise, you can prevent the document to be downloaded. QMC->Document Tab-> Select document->Server->Availability, uncheck 'document download'.
Update: Well, to answer your major question and clear confusion, let me tell you - users wont' be able to Save or Make any changes in the application that is in the server.

ok, thanks. What benefit would the user get by accessing the document this way instead of going via Access Point? Could they actually cause lock outs? As about once a week we get "No Server" on Access point and not sure sa to why this is, could access the document this be one of the reason for this?
One of the practical uses is:
Yes, I know about leasing licences this way just worried that can access the Document this way when they have a "Document Cal"
