Hello,
I've installed QV11 IR for a few of our customers (clean with no prior QV installations) and I get this weird error when I try to open any qvw document by double clicking it:
"There was a problem sending the command to the program."
I can just click OK and everything seems to work as it's supposed to but what exactly is that error? If I open QV11 first and the file --> open, the error doesn't show up. It only happens when opening a document by double clicking it in windows explorer.
Any thoughts on this? I tried googling and searching the community but didn't find any relevant information.

Just to clarify, both of those installs were clean without prior QlikView installations. What I ment was, I've never had this same problem with QV10.
I guess a quick and dirty solution would be to install QV10 first and then upgrade to QV11 right after that.
Thanks for your help Miguel. It's much appreciated!

I just had to try it and it worked. I did the following:
1. uninstalled QV11 Desktop
2. installed QV10 Desktop
3. upgraded to QV11
It created the registry values and now the document open without errors. It's not pretty but it works

it worked for me,too thanks.
Is there an update or new information about this issue? I have the same issue both on initial installs of QV11 and QV11 SR1...
Any help is appreciated!
Miguel's registry fix did it for me on two servers (one a clean QV11 install, the other previously had QV10).
On both servers the new registry folder took some time to re-create itself - I had to open and close about 15 times on the upgraded server before the error went away. It's probably a coincidence, but on both servers the folder created straight after I had navigated out of the HKEY_CURRENT_USER folder in RegEdit.

Can we delete this registry without having problems with the QlikView Server / Publisher and Accesspoint?
