Problem with Dates, when we use Count

Dear Community,

I have Straight table contain 3 fields,

1)Shopname-Dimension

2)orderdate-Expression:Count(OrderDate)

3)ShippedDate-Expression:Count(ShippedDate)

So in this case i am getting the same value for both orderdate and shippedDate.

when i use individual list boxes

for example:if i select Orderdate is 1-mar-2013 to 8-mar-2013,the total order are 250

for example:if i select Shippedate is 1-mar-2013 to 8-mar-2013,the total shipped orders are 150

in this way the data is comming, but when i use both of these in a straight table the values are coming same

for two dates.

so how can i solve these issue using set analysis.

Thanks&Regards

You are doing some different analysis:

I assume you have shops with some orders, say shop A with 250 orders. Each Order has a order date and a ship date, but the dates may be different for an order

Shop, Order, Order Date, Shipped Date

A, 1, 2014-03-29, 2013-04-01

...

In your chart, you are using only 1 dimension, shop, so you group your data by shop.

If you are not doing any selections, you will get

Shop, Count(Order Date), Count(Shipped Date)

A, 250,  250

All orders may have happened in the march, but some orders are shipped in April (sounds logical, there is some delay between order and shipment).

So, if you filter your data by selecting in Order Date or Shipped Date, you will only see the orders that fullfill the specific condition.

Not sure if that clarifies your issue, Henric can explain these things a lot better:

Better if you provide sample data in excel or can share your apps with/without reduced data.
