Problem with expression

Hi:

I have problems with the following expression:

=sum({$<MesAño={ $(vMesAnoAct) }>} Ventas)

But if the date specified explicitly, as shown below, if it works:

=sum({$<MesAño={ 'Sep-2012'}>} Ventas)

I checked the field and variable  format and are equal

=sum({$<MesAño={ '$(vMesAnoAct)' }>} Ventas)
