Problem with leasing a license

Hello everybody

I'm working on a new computer with new qlikview license.

I put the new license in the QVC and everything is good.

Somehow I'm not able to lease my license on the qlikview and it stays on personal edition.

I did the "open in server" and I have access to the document on the server but the "personal edition stays". when I open a new qlikview doc. it is a personal edition one -so i can't work like this.

I also checked the QVC and the "Allow license lease" is checked.

Anyone has an idea what went wrong?

Thank's

As you wrote:

I'm working on a new computer

your new computer needs to know where your server and the licenses are.

So open QlikView without open a document,

press strg + shift + o

or use file / open on server

enter the address of your QlikView Server

qvp://myserver or qvp://192.168.1.20

click connect.

As you can see a list of files you have leased a license, you can abort

Thank you Martin but I think you didn't understand the problem.

I CAN open a document from the server BUT I can't develop on qlikview doc because it dosn't recognize my license.

what is the login you are using to connect to the server ? Same as the one that has the assigned CAL ?

check out the history tab. Have you got anything like this ?

Maybe you are using a document cal or a session cal to open the document on the server?

With the two cals you can open the document and filter datas ore create server objects, but you cannot open the document to develop.

Can you open the license tab in the managemant console to identify the cal type?
