QMC task connecting to Sharepoint site from Qlikview is failing

Hello,

I have a request for help.

From QlikView publisher , we are not able to get the QVDs refreshed, they are connected to SharePoint site. However, the only way we can get the QVDs refreshed is running the .batch file manually or running the .qvw file with QlikView Desktop and execute the necessary files. We don’t understand where the root problem is and this is affecting to all Sharepoint connetions.

Although the task completes okay from the QMC of QlikView, the log file however, shows the following error:

A name contained an invalid character.

On line number: 12. On column number: 72. System ID: https://jnj.sharepoint.com/teams/.......

The SharePoint team investigated the problem but with no luck.

Would you kindly help on this matter?

Many thanks in advance

Jaume

HI,

Try testing your XLM file that is giving an issue.  You can do it at https://www.xmlvalidation.com/ or drag it into Chrome Browser.

Hi Bill,

Thanks for getting back to me.

The validation XML was okay.

Any other idea what can we do?

Can you try loading it in the desktop client and see what it looks like?

Hi Bill,

I have drag and drop the xml to the client's crhome and have not received any error.

Also I have used another validation page as the suggested one didn't work for me, I guess due to long file. So, I have tried different websites and they provided me success.

https://jsonformatter.org/xml-validator

https://codebeautify.org/xmlvalidator

Many thanks for you time trying to help.

There was not a 'special' character in the URL at the point of the error was there?  If so, the one thing to try would be to replace that with the ASCII hex equivalent to see if that will get it to work, forget the proper name of what I am talking about, but hopefully this will make some sense.

Cheers,
Brett
