QV 10 Personal edition won't reopen files - Qlik Community

Hello all.

This question was ask a few times by other users, but I didn't see a solution for it.

I've just installed QVPE 10.00.8715.5 IR and build a few documents, closed them and tried to reopen them only to get the "This QlikView document was created by another user" error. I'm using Win 7 Pro 32bit.

Is there a solution?

Hi,

You must have a QV licence to open documents created by another user.

With the QV Personnal Edition, you can only open documents created on your computer.

Are you're trying to open them on the same computer with the same user and still getting the error message?

If so, it could be because you don't have write permissions in the registry. Trying creating a document logged in as an administrator, close it and open it again. It should work.

Thanks Jonas, but I'm already an administrator.

I can't reopen files that I've just created, even a few minutes ago.

Have you tried installing Qlikview 10 SR1?

Yes I have installed Qlikview Personal Edition 10.00.8811.6 SR1. My computer have Win Xp Service Pack 3, and is part of a network.
