QV 12 Testing - QMC Error

Hi,

We are upgrading from v11 to v12.  I have a document that I can reload manually from QV desktop.  When I try and schedule this document in QMC it fails with the following error in the Log file :

ERROR - EXECUTE Command Failed. AllowExecuteCommand setting violation detected.

I'm trying to copy a QVD from one folder to another after it has been created. I have checked that these are selected in user preferences :

doc_settings.PNG

Is there anything else I can try?

Thanks,

Phil

In Qlikview 12.40 (Help QlikView)

You can enable Execute statements for QlikView Server by modifying the QlikView Batch Settings.ini file.

Do the following:

  • Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Roaming\QlikTech\QlikViewBatch and open the Settings.ini file.
  • Locate the line AllowExecuteCommand and set the value to 1 as shown below:
    AllowExecuteCommand=1

Now, when running the reload of the document from the QlikView Management Console, Execute statements are enabled.

Hi @juan_c_martinez,

When editing the QVS Settings.ini file, you need to first stop the QVS service in order to edit the file.  Once edit has been completed, restart QVS service.
