Hi all, I know this issue was couple times disscused on the forum. I have read all discussions and I have not solve my problems yet.
If I use http tunneling connection to QVS, I can open the report and export it to the excel file using "XL" button.
If I use qvp protocol in web browser (example : qvp://mylogin@serverIPaddress/report name.qvw ) I am also able to open the report but if click on "XL" button, nothing happend. I have this issue on only few PC's with Windows7, for example my PC working well, and I also have Windows7.
My idea is to check firewall and UAC setting on each workstations, but mayby someone of You solve this problem, and share experience, before I start
I have run into this issue as well with a few apps for a client. It was a combination of excel not being installed on some machines, browser settings, as well as firewall settings. Since you are able to export on some machines, that rules out the Export to Excel option being disabled.
Try adding QlikView server to trusted sites in IE.
I was add ip address of QVS to trusted sites in IE setting, without success, export to excel button still not working.
This was the first what I did
Are you using IE plugin?
As temporary workaround, you can right click the chart, select export and save the xls file
Hope this helps,
Erich
Ofcourse I use IE plugin
I thing, I solve the issue today. The problem was in UAC (User Access Control). If I decrease the level of secure, export to excel was run. Usually if user is a standard user, UAC is set onv the high level, and it seems that the windows block temp directory for external applications such as QlikView.
Thank You all for your's ideas.
