In simple terms I have 2 applications/documents, namely:
QVDGenerator.qvw that creates new QVDs every night through the scheduler
TestBI.qvw that reads those QVDs into the "user" BI application.
What do you do in the event of a failure in the QVD generation? The users are happy to see "old" data (i.e. from the last successful load) rather than no application because it crashed looking for a QVD that does not exist. Any pointers very much appreciated..
