Hi guys,

I have 1 Qvds, having size around 1.5 MB. but when i load that Qvd into my Qvw application

then Qvw application size is only 700 KB.

How can?

could any one explain me?

have u loaded the entire data set form the QVD? may be u could have used some kind of filter when u try to pull it in qvw.

hi

qvw is a compressed file, much like a zip-file.

qvd is optimized for loading data so it's less or no compression. It also starts with an XML-description of the data.

Its normal.

Qvw will compress data.

Hi Villyee,

The Qlikview again compress the QVD files so their will be reduction, no need to worry on that.

in the document property of qvw file gen tab set the compression to normal - save close the file and check the size of the qvw file.
