Qlik ODBC Connector to connect Qlikview with Hadoop. Connection successful but unable to retrieve the field names

Hi All,

I tried connecting Hadoop with Qlikview using the Qlik ODBC connector and the connection was successful. I could even see the available tables in the database schema but when I select a particular table I was not able to see any field names instead got the error

Nope I have not tried that option. Will let you know as soon as I try that

Have you tried using the Simba Hive ODBC driver? You can trial it here: http://www.simba.com/drivers/hive-odbc-jdbc/

If you're using Hortonworks, Cloudera, MapR, Microsoft or others, the drivers they ship are this same driver so you may already have it for free. It should resolve your problem in reading the fields of the tables.
