You can look into integrating R with QlikView:

Hi Ralf

My necessity is that we need compare people registered in certain databases to identify “clues” if the same (starting at crossings name - using routines phonetic identification - birth date, gender, mother's name, ...) are present in other databases (in other systems).

PS.: Sorry for my English!

Thanks for your attention.

Lisandro,

maybe, for what you want to achieve, you can also start with a QV only approach, e.g. using some 'fuzzy' string comparison methods listed here:

String Comparison

MarcoWedel

regarding fuzzy string comparisons you might wish to read the following posts as well:

Levenshtein Algorithm

string matching with fuzzy, trigram (n-gram), levenshtein, etc.

hope this helps

regards

Marco

Con R sí se puede hacer minería de datos, hay muchos algoritmos, y es un software realmente buenísimo, que puedes integrar con QlikView.
