Can you clarify whether there will be further development of the QV product (adding new functionality), are there any plans that you can voice. Our company must decide on further cooperation with QT. In particular, it is not interesting for us to switch to QS, we have done too much in QV and if everything is rewritten to QS, then it makes sense to switch to another product (not QT). We are obliged to develop with new technologies, but with QV thanks to you (but for the money that we pay) this is impossible. Thank you for understanding.

@warfollowmy_ver Hi, thanks for the inquiry.  I have sent a note to our product teams for a response to your post.

Thank you for your inquiry on the future of QlikView.  QlikView is an important part of Qlik's portfolio and we continue to invest heavily in QlikView to ensure it continues to meet global organizations expanding requirements for scalability.  QlikView is joining Qlik's Multi-Cloud Platform based on k8 (November 2019) that will allow organizations take advantage of the NEW hub which features self service organization of apps called spaces as well as corporate defined spaces.  Additionally this platform gives additional deployment options on Qlik Cloud Services, AWS/Azure Container Services or on prem.  This new platform does not require "redevelopment" of your QlikView apps and ensures the future growth and scalability of QlikView for years to come.  This simplifies deployments with no requirements for load balancing and clustering.   Additionally, this environment can also be used to develop Qlik Sense apps if your organization has additional use cases.  This is NOT a requirement but just options.

Please feel free to PM me and I would be glad to set up sometime to review and even demo some of these capabilities that will be coming in November 2019.  We have a number of large early adopters very excited on where we are heading with QlikView.  Glad to share that excitement with you!

For how many years will Qlik guarantee to keep developing en supporting QlikView?

Christopher_Ilacqua

Thank you for your question.  Qlik continues to invest heavily into the development and support of QlikView with two new releases this year and have no plans to stop support or development.  In fact QlikView is joining Qlik Sense in k8 as part of a common multi-cloud platform to ensure broader scalability and support for years to come.

Hope this helps!!!!

Like when will we see better On Demand App Generation for Qlikview.  I have heard that it is possible, but it seems not very accessible at the moment.

Hi Johanfo2,

Contact your account manager and he should be able to get a consultant to help you with this.

I recently updated QlikView Desktop & Server to April 2019 version and found that my macros no "On Post Reload" no longer work by disabling BNF with ///$bnf off at the top of my script

Has Qlik essentially abandoned QlikView post reload macro support with their strict adoption of BNF compliance?  If not, can you direct me to some resources  and/or workarounds that can help me on script and macro edits that are now needed to comply with the BNF standard?
