Hello,
I have an QlikView dashboard with quite a few graphs in it for the executives in the organization. Is there a way to send an automatic email with the dashboard attached somehow to a group of users every month, instead of them having to go through the dashboard?
Can we export the content in the dashboard (all graphs) as an attachment as an email to users? Or any other options available to make it easier ?
Note: We do not have Nprinting.
Please advise
@marcus_sommer - Can you please provide your inputs on my question?
Thank you in advance!
Hi
You can achieve this using macro in qlik and making it automated using a batch file, by running the same macro post reload by triggers.
I have attached a qvw with macro code and some data. Also attached an excel sheet ,where which all the recipient emails and related data sits i.e. with config's of sender as well.
Have a look into attached for ref.
Hi Claudiu,
Thank you for responding to my question.
1. I have multiple charts put into a container object in my dashboard but not able to pull the container objects into the report. Approx I have 20 container objects with 3 charts in each of the container.
2. After creating the report in the dashboard and saving it, What all settings are needed in the tabs Loop Field in Document / File Type ?
Loop field in document--> I have select the target type as email, but not sure on how to set the recipients information
File Type --> When I select PDF report from source document--> it is giving me an error 'There was an error opening the document' --> I think we need an PDF report distribution Add On to the publisher license to enable distribution of pdf reports.
Can you please advise on possible solution for both of my questions ?
Thank you very much.
HiClaudiu,
1. Yes, charts directly worked for me too. Container is not working for me.
2. I think it is an pdf add on license issue because I got the same error when I try to 'Open document' in Loop in Field Document tab.
Sure, will look forward for your example.
Thank you very much!
You are correct, in order to do a PDF file from Publisher, you must have the PDF_GENERATION;YES;; feature in your Publisher License Enabler File, if that is not present, then this solution will not work. Just wanted to let you know you were on the right track with that, sorry, I am not much help on the other, I would venture NPrinting may be the best option in the long run on this use case.
Regards,
Brett
