Hello
I have to assign my qlikview desktop license through a qkliview server
My config:
Windows Server 2016 server on VM
Qlikview Office: 12.20
Port 4747: OK
On my server:
- License activation on the server: OK
LICENSE_LEASE; YES ;;
NUMBER_OF_DOCUMENTCALS; ten ;;
NUMBER_OF_USERCALS; ten ;;
ProductLevel; ten ;; 2020-12-31
SPECIAL EDITION; NFR ;;
Time limit; VALUE ;; 2020-12-01
On my QlikView Desktop client, I do
- Open in server ...
- I enter the address of the QlikView server using the qvp protocol
- I click on connect
=> then message
"Failed to reach server http: 4747
Switching to https tunneling
Connected to server OK, security settings deny access"
What can be the problem?
thanks for your advices
Jacques
No one has encountered this problem ?
Jacques, try adding a :http after the server in your Connection server name, have added a screenshot for you, if that still does not work, that would pretty much confirm an issue with resolving your user credentials, and what should help in that case is the following article on how to enable the Desktop Client-side log, so we can see what is going on from that side.
Regards,
Brett
Brett,
It still doesn't work after adding :http after my server name
so I tried to enabled the client logging following the document
But I do not understand how to open a QlikView document hosted on a Qlikview server since I cannot connect to any QlikView server
so I tried opening a Qlikview doc on my desktop but 1 cant' find any QlikViewError.log
Regards
Jacques
So, in order to lease the license we have to be able to do a File\Open in Server from the Desktop Client, but I am wondering if by chance your QlikView Server settings are using our DMS mode for Authorization? If so, then there is a different way to do things in that case that may be what you need.
Actually giving you two links to look over, the first one is normal license lease, not sure you have seen this one:
This next one would be if your QVS is running DMS Authorization:
One more for troubleshooting:

Hopefully this may get you what you need.
