Qlikview using Personal Edition??

Hi,

Not sure what is going on but I have logged onto my development server and when I open Qlikview it is saying on the toolbar "QlikView x64 Personal Edition - [Start Page]", why has it suddenly gone back to Peronal Edition, I had the licenced edition before how do I get this back??

Thanks

oh ok 🙂 Yes I am waiting for the server guy to reboot the server, how come that that I have got the full edition on my local machine but cannot get the full edition when I remote desktop to the Dev server now on? Does it already know I have a licence already on my llocal machine or is it that clever?

If you have a developer license, then apply it to your QlikView Desktop in the User Preferenes as posted above. Then you will be able to open any file anywhere in your network, provided you have permissions to access the file. Not all servers allow license lease, anyway, if you already have a developer license in your software, then you don't need to "Open in Server" to get a new one. Ask your QlikView rep should you have any questions about your licenses and how should they be installed in your company.

Regards.

Does the userid (the one you logged on to the server with) have a Named CAL assigned?

Hi, yes I have this as a named CAL so it would have access to other documents

Guys, I ran into this issue myself last week and immediately reported it to support. It's hard to believe, but I think it's actually an SR2 bug (Desktop, at least x64, can't lease a license!!). I haven't heard from support yet, but the more people that report this the faster it will get resolved. I would assume that this would have to be a patch since waiting for a new SR would take too long...
