Normally you would do it Agile.

First do continuous prototyping and then have a System Testing Phase, followed by UAT finally move to Production Warranty Support and new changes and so on.

Dear Suri,

Rajesh is saying right, you need to follow Agile approach to work and release your project from first day to last day.

Incremenatal and iterative approach will help you to work with product owner or client efficiently and effectively. If there will be any issue then it will come very soon on the surface. This approach will also reduce the risk factors.

Please note, don't follow other approaches. What will be happened with you in the last, Product owern or client will tell to you, this solution was not required to me in this way or your given solution is not working according my requirements.

If it's possible, maintain your meeting minutes for future reference.
