Hi folks,
I've a small issue regarding QliView Publisher. I've scheduled reload using QlikView Publisher(Management Console) every two hours.
The scheduled reload is always succesful, but the report doesn't show any data even though data exists. I've checked the log also in the folder where qvw resides.
It has the following details:
3/1/2013 10:08:11 AM: Execution started.
3/1/2013 10:08:11 AM: QlikView Version:11.00.11282.0

Looking at the above log I can't come to a conclusion ,as it doesn't contain the list of fields it has loaded.
I couln't understand why the data is not being displayed in the report.
Kindly help me regarding this.
Many Thanks,
Surendra
Surendra, when working with Publisher and doing distributions you should work with two separate folders.
Are you sure you're not reloading an empty QVW? this looks like it has no script.
Yes Daniel.....
When ever I try to use a qvw as a source document for publishing in Management console, it is taking away the script and it displays the following meassage in the script.
// Write your script here. Note: Reload is disabled upon distribution. Enable by changing the checkbox at Settings->Document preferences->Security->Reload.
I tried enabling the reload option in the security tab of document properties, but it still displays the same message.
Surendra, you're not distributing the file to the same folder as the source file, are you? Because that would write over your QVW and remove your script.
Yes Daniel... I'm distributing the file to the same folder.....
If I distribute the file to a different folder, there will be another copy of qvw in the Access Point, which is not good.
Hence I did like that.

Thanks for your nice piece of information.
you are absolutely right.
Hi Daniel,
I tried doing the same as suggested by you.
I've given the path D:\fact dimension model\test folder_reload in the Distribution services and D:\fact dimension model\test folder_publish in the QlikView server Folder in Set up of Management Console.
I've created a job to reload and publish the qvw. I have distributed the qvw to qlikview server for the mount folder specified in qlikview server.
When I run the job, it is taking away the script in both the qvws( qvws in both the folders).
Please can you help me regarding this.
Thanks,
Surendra
Surendra, only the distributed QVW will be stripped of the script, make sure you're not distributing it to the source folder.
No Daniel..
I'm not distributing the qvw to the source folder. I've distributed it to the mounted folder in qlikview server.
Yet I'm experiencing the same issue.
