Both services will share the same resources whereby this musn't be a problem if the time-window from updating the applications and the usage from the user don't overlap very much. In general it will be depend on the amounts of data, applications and user how many server you will need for publisher, server, webserver and if you have a mandatory need on redundance regarding to the reliability of your whole environment.
