Running Total

Hello,

I've been looking in some functions bu i can't find (in a fast way) a solution. I want to give a demo this evening to our bosses and just downloaded QV 4 hours ago.

I'm having a field Sales that goes over a Date 'Dimension' (Yes i'm still a traditional OLAPer). In the graph i'm having a by month that alrady working, but now i would also like to have a running total.

Jan = Jan, Feb = Jan + Feb, Mar = Jan+Feb+Mar, .....

I've been looking into RangeSum, but with the above function i'm going on tilt at this moment.

Kind Regards

Welcome aboard! I believe you will be converted in no time!

What you are trying to do is actually simpler than that - just select "Full Accumulation" under your Expression definition. QlikView will accumulate values in a chart beginning with the first "Column" - perfect for YTD charts.

good luck!
