Hello,

any amount. Let's start with what basis information you have available.

Do you have sales per product and store? If yes, over what periods? Weekly, monthly, quarterly, etc.

Do you have price per product, units sold, $$ sold, VAT?

Any information about placement of products, restocking levels etc etc? Amount of linear meters/ cm used by a product.

Tell me what you have and we can figure some KPIs.

Regards,

Petra

Hi,

things that are interesting:

Cost of Inventory at cost and at retail, Days of supply by product, out of stock levels, returns due to overstocking (especially in the white lines), % of sales to total category, also on brand / manufacturer / sub cat basis - things like that.

Then over all or department: category comparisons, space to sales / profit / margin analysis, customer frequency, direction of movement of customers past category ... and of course, time comparisons. YA, YTD, Quarters, different yearly periods... etc.

The list is endless. It depends what you are wishing to achieve and the granularity of your data. It can be for Assortment analysis, category management, marketing and research institutes ... you need to define your audience.

Hope this helps.

Petra.
