Suppress Null's under Dimensions:

In chart properties under dimensions tab, Check "Suppress when value is NULL"

Thanks. Worked!

Have another question. As you can see, on x axis I have dates (when data was available). I want the scale to have week starts but the data points to still get displayed per date/day. So in a week if I have multiple data points all will be displayed with two scales. Right now my dimension is date_due and those are dates. If I change to weekstart(Date_due) then data points that do not lie on the weekstart date go away. Attached is screenshot. I am new to qlik and might be doing something silly.

Thanks

I am not sure if I understand what is your desired output. But I think this is what you want: try adding a third dimension which calculates for the whole week and hide that dimension.

can you post you sample file? It might help.

Thanks

You can leave your dimension date_due like it is now, since you want all dates to be shown.

You can hide the dimension values by using a text color attribute expression (dimension tab - open the attributes by clicking on the small plus sign next to the dimension), something like

=if(Date_due=Weekstart(Date_due), black(), white())

Thanks. Looks like I want exactly the other way around. On the scale I want just week start dates. in the example I attached, 9/30 is not a week start so that should not show up on scale. But the data point for 9/30 should show up in plot area. So I should have three week start dates on x axis scale, 9/21,9/28 and 10/2. and in plot area data points on 9/21,9/28 and somewhere floating between 9/28 and 10/2 (for 9/30 data )

As far as I understand, you want still to group your data by date, not by weekstart.

I see two possibilites, both use a dimension date:

a) see above, changing the dimension color for certain dimension values, so it appears that you only Show weekstart

b) use a continuous axis and Play aorund with step and min/max values to only show weekstart dates.

Thanks for helping me out. That isnt solving my problem. That indeed whites out the data points that are not week starts. But I want the data points for all date_dues. I just want my scale to show week starts. Attaching a screenshot. As in the graph above the one I changed, I want week starts on x axis scale and datapoints on plot area by dates.
