Hello,
I have a problem that I have noticed in another discussion thread QlikView Freezes when edit script. According to the answers provided, I do not have a WindowsPos folder under QlikView folder.
Below are the folders I have in the registry.
QlikView
-- ConnectionsMRU
-- LeasedLicenseMRU
-- Toolbar 7
-- State
-- State-Bar0
..
..
-- State-Bar6
-- State-Controls
-- State-DockBar0
..
-- State-DockBar3
-- State-Options
-- State-Summary
I simply want to have the script editor visible. Kindly help.
Regards,
Kevin
Hello,
As I don't have enough administrative rights, I can't use regedit and modify registery keys.
I found a workaround:
In fact, the Script Editor window is opened, but have a size so small it's not visible, or it's out of the screen.
When this occurs, when the Editor Script window is active (QlikView title bar is greyed), use the windows shortcut "Win + Up Arrow" or "Win + Right Arrow" that will change the position and the size of the window.
script editor mean u r telling about edit script if it so mean oen the qvfile in that view->toolbar->check standard, navigate, design then u can see the edit script
Hi Nizam,
The problem is not that. I simply cant see the Edit Script window. CTRL + E, file > edit script, they all do not give me the edit script window....

The windows shortcut keys you mention here working fine. A perfect answer for this thread.
Like to add another fix to this old thread...
QV Desktop isn't aware of things like having multiple monitors one day and only having one on another as I found.
I thought the app was freezing until I read this thread.
The only way I could fix it (also have no rights for registry changes in a corporate environment) was to change the monitor resolution. And there was the script editor front and center. Changed the monitor back to the native resolution and back to work.
Of course I tried repairing the install and reinstalling Qlik View desktop prior to that to no avail.... 😎
