Section Access with DMS

I am having an issue with my QlikView Section Access within an application and I'm not able to tell if it's within the server or an application error. I can log into the Access Point successfully and see all application I should have access to with my NTNAME, but when I try to open the application that has the section access table within it I am prompted with another login.. I've never seen this before.. anyone experienced this issue before?

Hi,

Have you enabled Section Access using USERID or NTNAME?

Miguel_Angel_Baeyens

The NTNAME in the section access must use the DIRECTORY\USERNAME as it comes from the DSC configuration. You can see how this looks like using the OSUser() function in a text object.

That second login prompt appears if section access table has users but the one you logged in as is not recognized

THE NTNAME is correct in that it is in sync with the OSUSER. XXX_XXXX\x123456.... When I go in the management counsel and distribute these users the directory name is lower case? would this cause an issue or is that standard for QMC?

I don't think that is use, But try a luck due to frustrate the qlikview sometimes. May be use

Lower(NTNAME) as NTNAME in script and check

Section access table should be all field names and values uppercase, therefore the reduction field, if any, also uppercase in the normal tables. How the system displays in the QMC that should be irrelevant, as long as the OSUser() displays the same as you have in the section access table (capitalization, etc)
