I have an application of a manufacturing company which has various divisions in it. I want that manager of only their respective division to view the data. There are abt 10 managers and each of them have access to 2 to 3 different divisions.
Eg: manager 1 can view data for division d1,d2 and d3 and manager 2 can view for d1,d3,d5. There are two divisions in common to both the managers. Division is taken as dimension. How to apply section for this.
Also pls help me to understand the difference between using NTNAME and not using the same
Thank u.

Hi,
Here is few documents on section access where it explains in full detail how you can apply them with few nice example.
Secondly NTNAME is used when you want to apply section access on the user of the domain. meaning when you control the users and their passwords from domain say i.e Active Directory then in that case you will use NTNAME where as when you want to have customer user names and passwords then you use user and password fields.
Hope this helps.
