Serious Memory Issues ---> need urgent solution

Hi All ,

I stuck with one major problem while loading huge DB(~3.5 GB / 35 Million Rows ) .

Problem i encountered is "Out of memory " issues eventhough i am having 3GB memory & my application is consuming 2.22GB .

I even loaded the application without any other process running on my Deasktop.

I am attaching the screen shot to have better idea.

Really can't able tp get what exactly things are going wrong .... need urge nt help regarding the same.

Hi,

I think you've got a 32-bit enironment. If this suposition is true, you're limite to 2Gb in memory for one application, even if you've got 3Gb memory.

You should to extract datas on several times and create some QVDs.

Simple answer to this one, add more memory, 3GB is probably not going to be enough to run an application with that much data in it. I have never got to the bottom of how to calculate usage requirements but generally the response from everyone has been "add more memory, it's cheap enough".

Your application is already using 2.22GB and QlikView is trying to allocate a further 2GB in order to get more data in (notice you have read in less than half your DB rows), I'd hazard a guess that you will need a minimum of 8GB for this.
