Hi,
please see the attached example which is a super quick reproduction of a more complex pivot table we are using in our company.
Basically it seems impossible to have the dimension "Color" correctly sorted by the field Sum(Qty).
Am I doing something wrong?
I tested it on QV11.2 and QV11.0 SR2
Thank you,
Roberto
In your table under sort you have expression "=sum(qty)" under Color. Should be "=sum(Qty)"
see the attched file
hope this helps
Thank you all for your reply.
I extracted a subset of data and replicated a pivot that is closer to the one we use. see attachment.
I need to sort the 3 dimensions by sum(Qta) .
In my example you can see that the 3rd dimension "Colore" is not correctly sorted.
Am I doing something wrong?
Thank you,
Roberto
I think this is a severe limitation of QV.
If I want to sort on quantity I expect that every dimension is sorted by quantity...
Moreover using the sort on Y-value seems to take in consideration not the first real expression, but also the first dimension defined as an expression and not as a field...
Unbelievable...
