Sorting in Pivot table

Hi,

Im currently creating a pivot table with 3 dimensions and  1 expression, Im facing with the custom sorting for the dimensions.

Please look at the redbox, I wish the outcome appear as the right chart, I have created the sorting column, and used in the left chart (Sort according to expression -> Sort column), but it still doesn't works, I was wondering was it due to the original loading set where there is another same description in row 10 (highlighted with blue circle)....

it only working right when I include the sorting column into chart, which not acceptable by my user, is there any one face this issue before or anyway to hide the sorting column from user ???

Thanks,

Lyra

Pivot table is better for grouping not sorting you can sort it on the basis of your first dimension

I understand that, but I still have to create a balance sheet report in that kind of layout to users... its a kind of grouping but thy want to have it in that sort of sequence for 2nd & 3rd dimension.

you need to check if the Sort according to expression -sum(Sort column) is on your second dimension

I have applied on the second dimension, but it still giving the wrong result. I also uncheck all the sorting for the First & third Dimension.

Hi Lyra

You could use match function in the expression

Please see the below
