Straight table column problem

Hi qliks,

We have a straight table which has around

74 columns. It displaying data.

But when I added a new column table is not displaying any data. I mean it's blank. After removal of new column table is displaying data.

What could be the possible reasons for this.

Is there any limitations to straight table

Check this field which you adding on the chart has a proper connection in the data model or not. Or you can go for checking Slowly Changing Dimension (

If your straight Table is not using any expressions then use 'Table Box'

It also have scroll option unlike Straight Table

Thanks... But I already know that

We are using straight table for future purpose

We need to do enhancements on that table

What I want is why my straight table is going blank for just one new column

Dear Suresh,

Field which you have added is in dimension or measure?

Kindly share sample app if possible.

Hi Suresh,

As we already know S.table will show the data in detail format.

Reason 1:-

May be your Measure is won't support/associated with newly added dimension

Reason 2:-

Ex:- Account wise transactions

ACC No    Trans ID    Amt

1              1              100

1              2                200

1              3                500

per suppose you added a new Dimension like (Sum(Amt)) as "Remaining balance"

now the chart will confuse for the aggregation function & it won't show any data..

etc...

First create a new table. Add the dimensions and 2-3 of the working expressions. Then add the "problem" expression and see what happens. If it displays correctly, perhaps the other table has gotten a little corrupted. If that is the case, recreate the table.

Otherwise, I suggest that you upload a small sample that illustrates the problem. It should have sufficient data and the two copies of the table that is behaving this way (one without the problem expression and one with it). That way, we can diagnose the problem and perhaps suggest solutions.

Anything else is guesswork.
