I have 2 fields(Dimensions) with 40K rows....I populated them in the table box and now I want a total row in the table box either on top or bottom.....I tried using straight and pivot table but if I give an expression I am getting 3rd coloum to show total....I need only 2 colums and total on top or bottom in that columns...please help me...

You need to enable partial sums of the dimension in a pivot table to show the totals. You can do this on the Presentation tab of the properties screen. In a straight table your expression must be such that it can be aggregated. It may be necessary to use the aggr function to achieve this. And of course the Total Mode needs to be set to something other than No Totals.

I dont want to use any expressions...bcos I want only two columns.....

Then you can only use a table box and have no totals. You can't have it both ways. Only expressions can be used to calculate totals.
