Text Dimension in Line Chart

Hi All,

I want to show trending using a line chart. When I use Calendar Year as the dimension I have no problems, but if I try to show trending using a text field Month-Year eg. 'Apr-2010', 'May-2010 etc ' , I get the error message 'No Numeric values on x-axis'.

Is there some way to overcome this and use a text field to show trending.

Thanks,

Neeraj

Check out the Dual function, Forced association of an arbitrary string representation s with a given number representation x.

Thanks Thomas,Erica.

In the 'Axes' tab of the line chart, I had accidently checked 'Continuous x-axis' . Under that setting I was unable to use text values as dimesions. On unchecking that , however, I was able to resolve the issue.
