Text To Number

Hi,

When my report is exported to excel, certain columns are in text format. I tried to change them to number format by using NUM function and Number Tab. After using both the things, this is not getting converted to number. I used following expression in my sheet object(Pivot table) .

=num(Count ({ $ <[Deleted] = {'No'} > } DISTINCT [Key]))

Kindly suggest me any ideas.

Thanks,

Sindhu.

try this

- remove num in expression

- format the field in Number tab of the chart

there is also a number formatting for export in

menu --> user preferences --> export tab

Hi,

I even removed num in expression and formatted in number Tab. The results are same.

Kindly note that I'm using Pivot Table.

Thanks,

Sindhu.

Question here:

Do you get the same behaviour when:

1) Using "Send to Excel" button on the caption

2) Right-click, Export as .xls file

3) Right-click, Copy to Clipiboard, Full table.

Another idea:

Try to format your column in the properties tab explicitly as "Number".

I would say overwrite the setting to number as shown in attached image.

Hope it helped.
