Turn off Version of qvw

Hello

Can anyone tell me how I turn off the version option for a QVW

I have a document called GaugeGraph and every so often a Version 2 of GaugeGraph is produced in the same folder and I really want to turn this option off

Also along with the other qvw file I also get the following SHARED FILES being prooduced which I too, wish to turn off VERSION  2 OF GAUGEGRAPH.QVW

Can anyone help me and let me know what the repercussions of turning this option off are?

In User preferences on the Save tab, uncheck "Use Backup" to get rid of "Version x of myapp.qvw"
