I followed the instructions on this whitepaper to include Google Maps in my document and it works http://global.qlik.com/uploadedfiles/Whitepapers/whitepaper_how_qliktech_uses_qlikview_google_maps.p....
My question is I seem to be having a problem getting the latitude/longitude coordinates to center correctly on the map. I'm using version 8.5 so I have to overlay the chart on the map, which I've done without much difficulty. The problem seems to be to get the chart to center correctly on the map. I've attached a simple example of what I'm getting. Has anyone used the whitepaper example to implement Google Maps?
Thanks.
Thanks JJ., that's clear and helpful.
Here's another one - i've been reading about the 'political' layer issue in google maps.
Do you know more about that? my impression so far is that there is not much to be done about
that through the google maps API. Is this indeed the case?
Rgds,
Ami
Hi Ami
Definitly, it's not possible to use polygin layer with Google Maps API.
I suggest you to have a look to geo company which have created some connectors. I think Geoqlik have an intersting solution

Hi Ami,
maybe you would like to take a look at our product:
GlobeQlik http://www.globeqlik.com
With it you can display any type of polygon and use Open Street Maps as background map. See below why you would want to do that:
Another thing to mention is, that Google introduced usage limits to the Maps API and will be enforcing and billing them in early 2012:
