Hi all,
I have developed an *.qvw file using a licensed qlikview.
Now the requirement for a conference is to showcase the same on an ipad. My general thoughts were to download the personal edition on the ipad and then link it with the *.qvd file that I will share .
However, there is no progress towards the same as I am lost.
Tried to search but not getting a step by step approach... Handholding basically as I am new to software.
Would be grateful if there can be a step by step approach / direction to some you tube to watch and replicate.
Thanks and regards,
Pratik
I am afraid not
There is a restriction, the personal edition can only open up to 5 licensed dashboards / dashboards not created by that personal edition.
The could open yours, save it as their own and then they would be able to open it as many times as required, but you wouldn't be able to then provide an updated version without using another one of the 5.

Hi Pratik,
Unfortunately you will need to be running a server to do this.
The files need to be hosted by the server, then the ipad can connect via the app or safari.
Thanks Adams... this means that there is no way that I can use the *.qvw file as a standalone application like I am currently using on my desktop. Specifically for the ipad
Also please confirm if there is any restriction of using my application (developed on a licensed qlikview) onto some other laptop wherein the personal addition is present.
Thanks in advance.
With regards,
Pratik

It is always worth asking Qlik / your re-seller if they will grant a temporary demo server license, I have actually done this once before when I had to build and demo something specifically for an ipad.
You can run the server from your computer and connect the ipad that way, it wasn't too horrendous to do if I recall but it was a bit of a faf
