Want to display latest month data into Blcok chart

Hi,

I want display latest month into block chart and use below expression to achive that fucationality but somehow its not working.

Count({<Data_Month = {'>=$(=MonthStart(Min(Data_Month))) <= $(=MonthEnd(Max(Data_Month)))'}>}Employee_Id)

same logic i have applied on Pie chat with SUM then its working perfectly fine.

sum({<Data_Month = {'>=$(=MonthStart(Min(Data_Month))) <= $(=MonthEnd(Max(Data_Month)))'}>}sales)

can you guys please help me on this.
