What is Benefit or Use of Checking Fields as Measures or Dimensions under Settings-->Document Properties-->Tables

Hi All,

I am using QlikView Desktop 32 Bit 11.2 Version.

What is Benefit or Use of Checking Fields as Measures or Dimensions under Settings-->Document Properties-->Tables ?

Actually I checked all fields other than measures as Dimensions and clicked on apply but did not see any difference so curious to know what is the use of these?

It doesn't change anything directly, but it is useful to do this before you create new charts and list boxes. The fields tagged as "Dimension" will be put at the top of the list of available fields and have a light gray background color:

This way you will easily find the fields that are your dimensions.
