I was trying to explore design options in qlikview, and i found this show value option in expression defination tab. Can anyone tell me what is this?
Shumail
Johan,
Can you share some example on this. I m still not getting any idea about this option.
Shumail
if you put an expression like Dim='A', this will make a value on datapoint to appear only on the Bar or Symbol associated with the value A for Dim.
Johan,
I would appreciate if you can share some example on this, I am still not able to implement it.. and i dont understand which point i am missing.
In ur last post this DIM is a field name / variable, I tried similar like this in Show Value attribute but not helping no change. Can u share us what u did and what result u are getting.
Shumail
Hello Shumail,
Take any line chart you have, and set Dimension > 100 in the "Show Value Attribute" dialog where "Dimension" is an actual dimension in your chart, and 100 is an actual value possible for that dimension. Instead of showing values in all points, value it will only shown in for that dimension.
Regards.
I tried this in the attached file but no result, can u please look into it where I am lacking?
Shumail
Hello Shumail,
Just check your expression, you are using 1.500.000 in condition and should be 150.000, as there are no such high values for Sum(Amount)
Regards.
Shumail
You need to turn off the Show data option on the Presentation tab.
Is this (attached) what you need?
Jonathan
