Why we are using macros in qlikview ??

Anil,

You can use macros in Qlik to perform a task for you.  Generally this is if and only if there are no other solutions to perform that task.  We prefer not to write macros as they are not guaranteed to work in future releases.  Use actions where possible.

Use MACRO's in Qlik is bad, but some times is necessary in order to have results you need.
