YTD and MTD

Hello there,

I am trying to design  a dashboard which takes the input date and on the basis of that date I have to perform sum operation.

I have assigned the input date a variable name and its vDate. Now I am not able to do it. Even I tried to look for some solutions for it and I found some expressions but that is not working for me. Please suggest something.

The variable for my data for year is calender_year for month its calender_month and for date its calender_day.

Thanks in advance

Hi,

You can show me an example, I need to understand what you want to do on the board.

Hi Anita,

If you are using the input date in variable vDate then only you need to do is whatever you are trying to calculate either

YTD or MTD or any date operation then you have to use this variable in that expression.

Example: If you want to calculate the MTD on the given input date in variable vDate the your expression for MTD should be like     vMTD_Start= Monthstart($(vDate )) and vMTD_End = vDate  and

= Sum({<Date = {''>= vMTD_Start <=vMTD_End " }>}Profit)

Hope this will work.

Regards,

Mahamed.
