hai friends plz clarify this problem, suppose i want to format C drive and i have installed qlikview in D drive and my question is if i format only C drive then the files that i have created in D drive will open or it will create some problem.Actually in my mind in qlikview the files created by one user will not open by other user and after installing windows 7 if i create with same user and computer name whether it will open or not.plz give me suggestion.
I had the same problem two years before. The file will not open..
Its better to install QlikView in C drive and keep your application in other drive. So you have to install QlikView again in C drive, then you open your existing QV document.
But if you use Personal Edition... You will not be able to open your old application even though computer and login id are same...
so any other solution because in c drive some files are missing due to that some files not updating for that purpose i want to format and problem is with qlikview only if i change means files created by me will not open what i have to do.
Sorry dear, but I dont have solution to overcome this personal edition limitation.
I almost got mad when this happens to me 1 year before and have to purchase a licensed version.
actually my software in d drive only but when installing it will take path in c drive then if i format c drive how it will open
i hope there will be no option .we need to buy licesence
For personal addition : you will loose the Applications created before, and if you reinstall it then maximum you can get only 3 Old documents ( Only first 3 open document).
and for other additions: There will be no loss.
thank u i think its right if i create with same computer names while installing wins 7 is there a chance to open created files
