avoid calculation before selecting one specific field in qlik sense

Hey Guys,

I have been reading a couple of different posts on how to implement forcing selection in Qlikview, but I couldn't find any related post regarding that for qlik sense so far.

I was wondering if that's possible at all or if there's any workaround?

Right now, I have a huge application, some users have access to most of it and just opening the dashboards by those users crashes the server.

I want to make those users select a field and then start calculation for charts and other objects.

How can I achieve that in Qlik Sense?

I embedded our app into another application using ticketing and section access. Data is reduced for each user. but the problem is some users have access to a lot of accounts. I want to make them select an account before seeing any charts or doing any calculations on Qlik sense server.

Hi Ar,

I think you have to select some data and save the app and then publish that app it may help you.

It might be work around for it.

Like Select Year , Region etc
