create a table with "more" text

I have a table and the values are correct, but ...

I have been asked if I can produce something more like a printt document - this does seem a silly thing to do however ... that is another discussion.

As an example (shown in the spreadsheet)

a3 and a8 are just "fillers"  - useful as explanations, but not really part of the table.

How would I go about doing this ... should I make a text box and then have the table "on top" aligined on the textbox?

Hi Daniel

thinking out loud ...

the pivot table is fine - it is the columns to the left of the pivot table that I want to organise...

I suppose in Excel I would need to do a copy and then paste values ...  then add the "filler" tables to the table.

So maybe it cannot be done in QlikView without either making up another element/field called comment1 and comment2 and then having making up a table.

The other way of a text object would not work cos - as the table grows/shrinks it will get out of synch with the comments ... so maybe your idea of the pivot table is probably correct.

Jo

ps not sure how to mark you answer as correct rather than helpful???

I switched Daniel's comment to Correct.

As a side note you could always evaluate QlikView NPrinting which allows for a very customized way of doing reports.

I have been trying to use a pivot table but ... I am having difficulties - I think I may have to go back to the idea of a text box and lining up text

I am not sure what I align...  i will try and get an example

so... this is what I want but the figures are just repeated for each line.

I am not sure do I link the 2 tables -    or ... should I just do the calculation in another table?
