creating link tables

I've heard about Link Tables. They are useful when joining two or more fact tables with dimesion tables. But I only saw a powerpoint talking about this technique. Now I wanna know how to create it. Any tip ?

RESIDENT is just the command to read from a table in memory.

Yes,

I'm aware what it means but I don't see how to use it when the resident would apply to a number of tables you wish to link?

I have a question relating to link tables. For the moment I always Concatenate my fact tables for the same reason a you (all the people above in this thread) use a link table. Can someone comment when to use Concatention and when to use a link table? Is there a difference in the end? Is the concatenation method more performant? I've been struggeling with these questions for a while now. I would realy appreciate the view on this from an experienced qv developer.
