custom pop up label not working in chart

Hi All,

First of all Wish you all a very happy new year

I am working on an example qvw in which i am unable to display the custom pop up created in the expressions tab.

It works only if I turn on the pop up labels in the presentation tab but then it displays pop ups from both the functions which i do not require.

Am I missing something ???

This is the default nature of Qlikview.

Actually this is an example from the qlikview developers cookbook and it says

quote

" !By turning off the Bar option for the expression, QlikView will not try and evaluate the

expression as a value and will not try to render a bar for it. By turning on the Text as Pop-up

option, we tell QlikView to calculate the text of the expression and display it in the pop up.

We also had to turn off the default pop-up option in the Presentation tab or else it would

display both (which might be what you want, have a play with it).

Hi Nadeem,

Go to expressions tab and then select each expression and for the one you require popup then check the box Text as popup only for the expression you require.

Later turn on the popup in the presentation tab.

This way you have control on what the popup displays.

Go to Properties -> Presentation-> Pop up Labels   , there check pop up labels.

Tried that but that does not work too you can have a look at the sample qvw attached .

I dont understand the fact how it is mentioned in the qlikview developers cookbook.

Hi Mario,

I want the custom pop up to be displayed not the default one, by checking that it displays both the pop up labels the one created with the expression and the one which is by default  , this is an exercise from the qlikview developers cookbook .
