Hi,

ETL - Extract, Transform, Load

Generally ETL tools fetches the data from various sources like database, flat files etc, and transforms the data and loads this data into another destination databases/flat files.

So finally all this ETL tools stores data in some databases/flat files, so use this databases or flat files to your dashboards.

Jagan.

You can also trigger the reloads in QlikView using EDX tasks so that QlikView starts as soon as the job in the ETL tool is ready.

Hi,

To load data from database, we can use ODBC and OLEDB, and also we can load flat files by using the

Edit Script (Ctrl + E) -> Click Table Files Button and select the file to load.

Hope this helps you.

Jagan.

Hey,

None of the ETL Tool holds any data. It just extract(from one or multiple soureces) , Transform(to a meaning ful structure of the data) and Load (to a small /large scale db or Flat files).

So ultimately, you have to extract data to our Qlikview from either of these BDs or flat files.

We have different syntax to load data from files and DBs using ODBC and OLEDB.

Hope this helps
