getting column information in expression of document

Hi Experts,

As part of enhancement in Dashboard one of report needs to be modify according to the requirement.

Now we are analyzing existing columns and one of the column not able find from which dimension or fact table is coming.

I have done analysis in QVD loader script and in Qlikview model(ctrl-T after we can see list of columns from each table) and inline tables

and in show fields from all table which is under dimension tab for chart properties. Even variable list also and this is not calculated column.

So any other where we can find out column.

Please help me on this.

Regards,

Kumar

Can you post the expression or dimension you are questioning?

Sometimes it can be difficult to find a column when using the table viewer.  An easier solution is to create listboxes for

$Field and $Table.  If you don't see those fields, Right-click the sheet, "Select Fields" and check the "Show System Fields" checkbox.

Does the syntax checker say "Invalid Column" for [Cloud Billing]?  It's possible this column does not exist in your data model.

Hi Rob,

It is already running in production.

Is it not related to the syntax checker bug, where the columns before -= set analysis are not shown correctly?

Hi dion,

Thanks for your response.

In a place of [Cloud Billing] I have given my some junk characters and it is taking as expression valid.

I don't how it is validating. These should come from tables.

Can you correct me will it take the columns which are not part of tables?

Kumar

All columns are part of a table by Qlik definition.

As Rob said: are you sure it is in your data model?

Can you send a screenshot of the Table Viewer (Ctrl + T) . If done correctly it will show in which table your field is.

or

Can you attach your document and I will find it for you.

Hi Kumar,

Check it that filed exists in data model(Ctrl+T) or not?

If Not:

If that fields is not exists, try to get into data model.

If Yes:

If field is available in data model still you are getting the error , check it inside the set analysis expression.

Thanks & Regards,
