Hi Somacdc,

The OSUser() funciton gives you the Operation System user. If you are working with Windows active directory, this will be the active directory user, otherwise it will be your local system user.

There is another function QVUser() but it will give you the recognized user of your QlikView instance.

I hope that helps.

If you clarify a bit more on your expected result, I may be able to help you even further.

Kind regards,

S.T.

How to get Windows User ID from within QlikView?

Please note that OSUser() function returns QlikView ID currently login which could be changed to that of Windows ID through which PC is login. We require PC login ID in QlikView.
